The masterclasses are designed for aspiring performers, creatives, and educators who want to learn directly from industry professionals.
The day starts at 10:30 AM with registration, followed by a private guided tour of The Players. This tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at the mansion’s stunning architecture, rare theatrical memorabilia, and stories of the artists who shaped its legacy.
After the tour, participants dive into three masterclasses:
From Talent to Career: Breaking Into the Industry

At 4:30 PM, the doors open for the Are You the Next Showstopper?! Finals. This live competition features over 15 finalists from across the country, each bringing their unique talents to the stage. The finalists compete for career-launching prizes, including an all-expenses-paid international performing arts summer program.
The competition is judged by a panel of industry experts, including Broadway stars and casting professionals. Awards include the People’s Choice Award and the Judges All Star Award, making this a high-stakes and thrilling event for performers and audiences alike.
Tickets for the competition are affordable, with student and teacher tickets starting at $10 in advance. VIP seating is also available for those who want a premium experience with a drink ticket included.
Evening Elegance at the Viva Italia Masquerade Gala
The excitement continues into the evening with the Viva Italia! A Masquerade Gala starting at 6:00 PM. This elegant event takes place in the same historic mansion and features a red carpet reception, silent auction, dinner, and concert.
Guests are invited to don masks for a night of mystery and glamour. The cocktail reception offers live music and a chance to browse the silent auction, which supports the N’Kenge Foundation’s mission to empower young artists.
Dinner begins at 7:30 PM with a three-course meal accompanied by performances from Broadway stars, emerging artists, and finalists from the Showstopper competition. The gala honors leaders in arts and youth empowerment, including Hisham Tawfiq, Michael James Scott, Rain Pryor, Antoinette Quashire, and Lucia Kaiser recognizing their contributions to the community.
