About the Program
The N’Kenge Foundation is developing the first school edition of That’s Love! The Dorothy Dandridge Musical, bringing the life of Dorothy Dandridge, the first Black woman nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress, to student performers and audiences. Working with an inaugural high school or college partner, the program connects theatre with history, English, music, and media studies, and opens classroom conversations about race, gender, opportunity, and representation. The selected school receives performance rights at no cost, with optional planning meetings, workshops, and classroom materials from the creative team.
